Project Prayer Flag’s new Hawaii Director Tina Mueller states, “We are excited to see volunteers from Hawaii, California and Wisconsin simultaneously working together for the first time to help our troops. We encourage everyone in Hawaii, the Southern California communities and Wisconsin to come out to serve our troops.”
Project Prayer Flag is a grass-roots non-profit military support organization, which places American pocket flags and provides support services for the U.S. Military and their families. The project began in 2002, when husband and wife team Shawn and Angelica Black of Orange County, California, began giving American pocket flags to those departing for deployments in the Global War on terrorism. Today, they have given over 230,000 patriot flag packs, packages, and related support to service members and their families.
